... ...go away PERSONALITY Contained. Stubborn. Exasperated with everything ever. Ki-moon gives the impression that he has better things to do in other places but he has decided to humor the people around for the time being. He shows little to no emotions at the best of time, and his resting face looks about as murderous as someone who would kill everyone ever but he can't quite figure out where to stick the bodies. He has caused people to avoid making him angry just from a look, and, in all honesty, that's the way he likes it, because while he is a predator , he also isn't someone who sees any reason to resort to violence. Sure, he is quite capable to dish out damage and a lot of it, but he sees no reason to lose his temper over something meaningless. No, he'll rather hold back and let the other person wear themselves out trying to make a dent in him. He doesn't want to be used by others to further their own positions in life. Ki-Moon spent a lot of his life as one servant or another, from a simple craftsman in the caste system of his homelands to just another pet in his maker's collection. His life hadn't been his own, and when he did free himself from all those bonds, he did not want to go back to being just another servant. He also didn't want to become a lot like his marker - changing people into lesser vampires bonded to him for the centuries. That didn't mean he had no use for any bonds. Ki-moon always liked being around people and enjoyed his large family while living. He just felt that he did not have to force someone to like him to get along with them. On that point, he is also one of those people who had wanted a large family. He feels ties to family important are and felt that being turned as he was cut him off from forming his own family and connections. It's half the reason why he spent so long tracking down his blood relations and why he is so willing to take in the strays and abandoned younger vampires he encounters. He might refuse to create his own children, but he will raise any children he comes across, even if said children are a little tiring to be around. In that way he is kind of like the grumpy father figure who doesn't seem like he cares, but still will have his kid's back when they really need it. He's not overly vocal with praise, and tends to correct through showing instead of telling, but he cares and he will help when he can. Ki-moon just isn't very vocal in general. Part of it comes from being raised in a time when people at his social status were kept under the thumb of a strict caste system. While he had some standing thanks to his skills with the sea and ships, he had been a craftsman and not considered important by those in power. So he had been raised to keep his head down, work hard and never speak up in the presence of someone of a higher rank than him. While he knows that he doesn't have to behave that way any more, he still keeps quiet around others. Not only does it make it easier for him to ignore them if he doesn't say anything, he also knows it's far faster to find out information if people talk around him as if he doesn't understand them. It also gives him some room to maneuver his way out of situations he doesn't want to be in, or to learn things that he was curious about but never really wanted to ask any questions to complete strangers. Ki-moon is far too curious for his own good. It's half the reason why he defied orders to stay away from the foreign ships all those years ago, and that curiosity has not gone away despite how long he has lived. There is always something new to learn, be it a new piece of gadgetry to a new group of people or even a new dance move, he is always poking his nose into things he shouldn't. Of course, he usually plays it off as him just being around and walking into things while not paying attention; it was how he met the two phoenixes all those years ago after all. But these days he doesn't need to be so obviously oblivious with his partner around. Dusty is openly nosy and bossy, which allows for Ki-moon to follow along and act disinterested without cluing other people in that he is just as nosy as the mage.
