PSL - a vampire & a former siren
[Continued from here
[Of course they will cuz that's how it goes, though right now Tarr is just rolling his eyes.]
humans are confusing that's what makes them human
never believe what movies say they are always wrong
[It's a dark, windowless room, and Tarr is camped out on a futon with a small lamp that barely lights up the room on a nearby table. He's going to look up at the door opening and then snort as he puts his phone away.]
It's new that you want to know so much about it, that's all.
[Of course they will cuz that's how it goes, though right now Tarr is just rolling his eyes.]

[It's a dark, windowless room, and Tarr is camped out on a futon with a small lamp that barely lights up the room on a nearby table. He's going to look up at the door opening and then snort as he puts his phone away.]
It's new that you want to know so much about it, that's all.
no subject
If I'd asked you about it right away, would you have answered?
[Shutting the door behind him, Jaehyun grins and walks over to the futon plopping down next to Tarr without waiting for permission.]
So, does this mean you think I'm confusing? I'm kind of human now, mostly... I think.
[He'll lean closer after that, dark eyes shining gleefully.]
So what are they like then? If movies are wrong? Can I see?
no subject
[Yes, well, what can he say. He was a little predictable about some things like rolling his eyes or huffing at silly questions. He also is going to give Jae a slightly disgruntle look at him just flopping on the futon but really, where else was the poor guy going to sit in this place? It wasn't like he had any furniture besides that.]
I just think people tend to make things more confusing then they really need to.
[He'll get a nose scrunch in response.]
Which ones?
no subject
[Any and all disgruntled looks are just met with a cheerful grin in response. Personal space is a concept Jae is refusing to learn. Personal space is for losers and Jae isn't a loser. He's totally a winner.]
There you go again! Why is yes and no so hard?
[Jae throws up his hands in mock dismay, even though his smile never wavers. If anything the creases around his eyes get bigger instead.]
Wait... which ones? As in there's more than one?
[The smile fades then, because this requires some thinking.]
Well... the ones that you said people find scary? So like when you're eating I guess?
[That's a sensible answer, right? He's actually pretty proud of that answer.]
Or is this one of those 'I could show you, but only if I'm taking a bite out of you' things.
no subject
[There is a soft huff and he just puts his phone on the table and shifts a little so there's no real touching between them - not that he doesn't expect Jae to keep away.
He doesn't answer though, instead he just opens his mouth and at first there were just the almost normal standard vampire fangs, sharp and slightly curving against the rest of his normal human-looking teeth. Then there was a slight crack, his mouth dropping open a little more then normal and a new set of teeth appeared, clicking into place behind the human teeth all long sharp edges and curves.]
Drinking teeth. And fighting teeth.
no subject
I don't know what you're talking about. I'm completely possible.
[Jae please.]
[The first set of teeth is met with a shrug, he's seen those before. They're even kind of nice? At least Jae thinks they're nice enough anyway. Better than the ones on tv, but that's honestly not very hard.
He's not even thinking when he reaches up, still possessing a five year old's drive to touch everything that catches his attention.]
Woah. [His smile is blinding this time, just a look of sheer joy.] That's so cool! You remind me of this shark I used to know. He was kind of a jerk, but for a shark he wasn't so bad.
I don't get it. [He shifts, sitting up a little to lean in and get a closer look, his forehead wrinkling as he frowns in concentration. Maybe he's missing something?] What's wrong with your teeth? They're not scary at all!
[Honestly, it's probably more that he's gotten to a point where Tarr isn't scary. Because it's Tarr and Jae trusts him almost implicitly already. So therefore Tarr's teeth inherently can't be scary either. If that teeth set was coming at him from a stranger it might be a completely different matter.]
no subject
[He just smiles just a little, the teeth stretching his mouth far more comfortable for most humans. Of course Jae was going to try to touch them but he was going to end up with a few paper-cuts from doing that. They were that sharp after all.
Tarr chuckled and opened his mouth a little again, his tongue longer and a little pointed as well before he slightly shrugged and his whole form just twisted. A few long whips stretching from his sides and shoulders, his face elongating and sharpening, bone spurs forcing out of his arms, claws stretching his hands.
His voice still remained the same.]
I suppose you can say that the implications upset normal humans.
no subject
[Ha! See, a smile. Jae knew those were things Tarr's face could make. He totally wins that one.]
[Jae didn't touch so much as hover. Except for the long, canine's that were for feeding. That he did touch, letting his index finger trail along the curve ever so gently. If he got a cut well... eh, he'd deal. He's dealt with worse for his impulsiveness before.]
[He watches the entire process with no small amount of curiosity, taking in each change with rapt focus.]
Well... then normal humans are stupid.
[He states this simply, in a matter of fact tone. Possibly a little offended on Tarr's behalf like the absolute dork that he is. The fact that normal humans are also effectively a buffet line completely lost on Jae at the moment.]
[His unoccupied hand creeps up to reach out for a bone spur curiously. This entire thing is basically just inviting Jae to explore really, so Tarr probably should have seen this reaction coming. It's only a matter of time before he'll be trying to touch everything. It's just that some things would have to wait their turn is all.]
no subject
[Well, yes he can make them but most people did not find his smiles that comforting, especially when he looked like something that just pulled itself out of a Lovecraft tale.]
I can shift into a number of forms, though this one isn't very easy for most people to be near.
[The arm the spur was attached to jerks slightly at the touch before relaxing. One of the whip-like appendages reaching over to wrap itself around Jae's wrist as a sign to be careful. While his teeth were just made for ripping into skin, the spurs were capable of delivering a toxin into anyone that got hit with them.]
I don't normally hang out with them anyways.
no subject
[Jae's already established that he thinks most people are stupid. It's a nice smile. Tarr really should smile more and there's a chance that at least part of the ridiculous things Jae does are solely to see if he can coax a smile out of the other man. It works sometimes, so he took that as encouragement to continue the habit.]
There's more? [That actually distracts Jae from his exploration so he can gape up at Tarr in childlike wonder.] Can I see those too?!
[Is this what Christmas is like? He hasn't actually been human long enough to experience the holiday yet, but it feels like what he imagines Christmas should feel like.]
[He shifts, adjusting slightly so it's a little easier to touch without having to reach too awkwardly. Stilling for a fraction of a moment at the quiet touch of caution, before nodding and continuing on his merry way.]
So what are they for? These things? [He avoids the spur to touch the arm next to it softly, realizing that maybe finding out what things do is a key factor in the 'can I touch it' game he's kind of playing at the moment.]
Well, duh, you don't normally hang out with hardly anyone. Sometimes I think you have less friends than I do, you know that?
[Which is saying a lot, because Jae hasn't even lived on the surface for all that long.]
no subject
[It was going to turn into a game isn't it? Jae trying to make him smile and Tarr huffing about Jae trying to make him smile. As it was, there was a slight hint of one again as he let Jae do his exploring, though he was making sure he didn't touch something too deadly.]
Usually when vampires fight, it's not a pretty show of impossible martial arts. Most don't know anything like that and rely on speed and power of hits. I shift into something that has more of an advantage over that.
I also sometimes take on a female form for hunting.
[And his form blurs again, but this time taking on the shape a pretty girl with long blonde hair.]
The old lizard tends to go into his lair to spit at people while the old bird works for a living.
no subject
[It's hard to know what isn't a game to Jae honestly, with the way he takes delight in so much of his existence still. But yes, 'try to make Tarr smile' is definitely a game that Jae plays, and it might even be his favorite.]
So what you're saying is that vampires are way cooler in movies? [He's teasing, eyes crinkling in delight as he wiggles just a tiny bit closer. He figures if he gets into anything remotely dangerous Tarr'll be there to stop him beforehand.] Can you? Fight all martial artsy and cool like in the movies?
[He needs to know. For uh... just because. It's cool okay, the way they vwoosh and just do all sorts of cool stuff in the movies. It's kinda like dancing and Jaehyun absolutely loves dancing.]
A female form? [This surprises Jae and he tilts his head back, trying to imagine it, but he's soon met with an answer that doesn't require his imagination and he's soon right back up in Tarr's space again.] Hmmm.
You're pretty. [It's stated as a matter of fact, Jae's eyes getting a good look over Tarr's new shape rather quickly. Ultimately, it's not quite as interesting as the other form considering there's less cool looking bits to touch.] But I guess it only makes sense that you'd be pretty as a girl.
[The biggest surprise of this, is that Jae doesn't actually immediately hone in on Tarr's chest. Though he does give it an appreciative eyebrow wiggle. Instead he actually returns to Tarr's arm, giving the skin there an experimental touch.] You feel different like this. More.. squishy kinda? It's fun.
[He reaches out, poking and touching at Tarr's stomach curiously, because it really does feel different. And he's already established that different means curious and something to explore.]
See? That's what I mean. Three people isn't an awful lot, Tarr. Not considering how many people and monsters live on the same planet as us.
[Though it does mean he's slightly pleased, because that's a pretty exclusive list and he's on it. Take pleasure in the little things whether they're meant compliments or not.]
no subject
[Just another flat look. Tarr didn't think that the vampires in movies were that interesting. For one, they were often in some kind of whine mode about love or something stupid like that. For another, they were just wrong in the way they moved and everything else.]
I can fight, but it's due more to be around for a very long time and picking skills up as a hobby. I don't need to do it if I decide to use my fighting form in any case.
[There might be a slight hint of a blush there at the pretty comment. He was just himself and he couldn't help that he looked too unreal as a guy or a girl.]
I could make it a little harder but this one is better for picking up guys then something that looks like it can kick them into next Sunday. [He tries to wiggle away from the pokes to his stomach but he was up against the wall by this point.]
It's hard to make friends when they die after only fifty years or less.
no subject
[Most of the stuff Jae asked about didn't matter, but that's not the point! Did something have to matter to be worth thinking about? That's because, at the end of the day, the vampires in movies were still human and humans would never be able to move the way a vampire could. it was impossible.]
Yeah, but it's cooler! [Which isn't the point of a fight. Being cooler than your opponent doesn't make you the winner, Jae.] I guess being stronger and winning is good too.
[Wait]
But not fighting at all is best. Maybe we should stick to that one as much as we can.
[Especially for newly human friends who aren't quite used to their newfound level of mortality. Sirens are functionally immortal circumstances allowing. Jae needs to be in danger right now about as much as he needs to ask pointless questions. Which, given his love of pointless questions, means he'll probably end up in danger constantly. It's only fair.]
You're already pretty hard, there's nothing wrong with a little variety. [He stops poking, but kind of just rubs at Tarr's newfound stomach instead. To say that he's trying to behave would be truthful, but from the little glances he sneaks at Tarr's new chest it probably won't take long until his control snaps and he's risking poking more controversial areas. It's just in his nature.] So why do you need a form like this? You're too good looking to have issues picking up food in your... you.
[His chipperness fades a little at the death comment, quietly reminded about his own mortality now. Thanks for the reminder there, Tarr, buddy.]
Oh... yeah, I guess that's an issue, huh.
no subject
[Oh no, did he have to explain why cooler doesn't mean getting out of something with your skin intact? Sure he could just do a lot of kais and impossible hand waving and stuff, but by the time he actually went to do something, he could have been stabbed three hundred times. Sure, a stab wouldn't kill him, but still it hurt and got blood every where, immortal or not.]
I still need to make money. [Assassination and mercenary work is pretty much a given considering his skillset. Also free food.]
Stop it, that tickles. [Yeah, he is going to ignore the looks for the moment as he unsuccessfully tries to avoid the stomach rubbing.]
Often certain type of men think that they can overpower a simple sweet looking girl and are so much easier to pick up then a woman who is conditioned against men hitting on her.
[He does have some standards and he really can't stand those type of men, so win-win in his book.]
It can be. I have a brood queen for a friend but... I'm an elder. Most other vampires don't care for elders.
no subject
[Sometimes he's little better than a toddler in the shape of a twenty-something. Not that he's incapable of maturity, because he is. It's just that he finds entirely too much of life curious and fascinating still. Which is kind of a feat when you're technically several hundred years old. But hey, it's not like he got to learn a lot about the world living in the ocean like he did. Siren society is cut off from most of the world and rather stuck in the past compared to most other groups out there.]
[Probably. Nah, logistically he understood that practical and efficient was a better way to go. He's not that silly.]
Outside of that. [Though Jae isn't exactly the biggest fan of Tarr's line of work. He's not about to judge him for it. Not really. It's not like his own hands are clean after all. It's just that Jae's decided there's enough blood on his hands to last him a lifetime already. So he'd rather not add to it.]
Wait. You're ticklish? [His eyes light up as he squirms in a little closer, the corners of his mouth curving up into a giddy smile.] How did I not know this?!
[That's one way to distract him from groping his friend. Give him something else to focus on. Rubbing turns into light passes of his fingers instead, little tickling motions to see if this was a thing he could work with in the future. Tickling made people laugh right? It did on tv!]
So it's just easier to pick up guys? But don't their creeper germs rub off on you in their blood?
[Yup. You can tell he's been alive for centuries just look at him and his concerns.]
Wait? They don't like you because you're old? Shouldn't they like you more because you're old? Think about how much more stuff you should know than them!
[If Jae was a vampire he'd be all over Tarr. To be fair even as a non-vampire he already is, so it's not like that would change anything.]
no subject
[Not that it would stop him, but still Tarr was trying to stop those hands from doing anything really irritating. Unfortunately he was failing because he doesn't want to hurt the siren turned human or damage the wall, so enjoy the little ineffective slaps and wiggles. ]
No - stop that! - blood doesn't work that way... Jae!
[He's going to catch Jae's wrists and hold his hands away from his body because he just can't, but be happy. He managed to make Tarr giggle and smile there so that's a good sign, right?]
Well, there is the age, but elders are outsiders. We don't have a brood, we don't belong to any group. We're loners and pretty powerful ones too.
no subject
[One tickling hand quickly turns into two very quickly as the tickling continues. Though the little slaps mean he starts to squirm too, ineffectively trying to dodge them. Each second of this moment is absolutely precious to Jae, because it's the most giggly and smiley he's ever seen Tarr in the entire time they've known each other. Which means this tickle attack thing is one hundred percent going to happen again in the future.]
It doesn't? [Jae blinks up at Tarr innocently, hands now held and immobilized so he can't get into any more mischief.] Well, you're probably right. I don't think you're a creep so you must be immune to it then or something. Good.
[He smiles, eyes crinkling at Tarr happily. Today's been an especially good day so he can't help how happy he looks. Though, he's usually pretty happy. Today he's happier though. He'd be glowing right now if he could.]
You can be all of those things without being a loner you know. You're too nice and great to be alone all the time.
[Maybe he can't move his arms really, but that doesn't stop him from squirming in closer and cuddling up to Tarr with a satisfied hum. Cuddling is by far one of his favorite things about being human.]
no subject
[He is going to have to find a way to sleep without Jae sneaking in to try to tickle him, isn't he? As it was, Tarr was huffing at the sheer impossibility that was this guy.]
Blood doesn't transfer personality. If I was a mind sucker, maybe but that's something completely different. All blood can transfer are diseases but they don't affect me at all.
[He can move them slightly. He just couldn't start tickling Tarr again. In fact, he was going to let him snuggle against him even though he is still going to hold those wrists to prevent any unneeded tickling. Also Tarr was going to shift back to his natural state of being male.]
It means no familial ties, not that I am alone.
no subject
[Nah, sleep is probably the only time Tarr is safe. Conscious smiles are the only ones that count.]
[Jae huffs out a laugh at Tarr's answer, snuggling closer once the shift back is complete since apparently today Tarr's in the mood to indulge him.]
I wasn't being serious. I've known you long enough to know that your grumpy face has nothing to do with your diet. It's just who you are.
[Mild teasing, because clearly Jae likes Tarr's grumpy face just fine considering.]
Oh...are those important? Familial ties?
[The word feels foreign in Jae's mouth, family isn't something he really understands. Sirens don't have families the way a lot of other species do. So he still doesn't really get it, no matter how much tv he watches. It does seem like it's nice, family, but he's not sure if it's really as important as people make it out to be.]
no subject
[He shrugged, not going into how it wouldn't really effect him to have his dream self bothered. He does let Jae's wrists go after giving them a slight warning squeeze to not wander. He'll let Jae snuggle him so long as no tickling was involved.]
At least you know that truth.
Most vampires have checks and balances through their bonds within their groups. A brood leader has to take care of their brood or they cannot survive long. A member of a brood answers to their older siblings in the brood and their leader. Elders don't have those ties. Their Maker is dead or the bond between them was cut. There's no bond between them and another vampire made by their Maker.
It makes the vampire weaker at first, some even go feral like the blood-hungry monsters in some movies. But survive long enough makes us grow stronger. We don't need to kill to eat as much, we can stand some sunlight, some even become able to shift and control younger vampires like a brood leader even without a blood tie. Live long enough, we become very deadly indeed.
no subject
[He legit sounds miffed by this. Dream Tarr isn't the real deal and therefore is unacceptable!]
[His hands do wander, but only to shift so he can get comfortable. Then they still and he settles for quiet snuggle time. Tickling was fun, but honestly he likes this better. Cuddling is, so far, his most favorite thing that humans have invented. Even more than he likes television and the internet and he really likes those.]
So, what you're saying is that it really is just because you're old, strong, and have no friends. Family. Whatever you want to call them. [That's one way to simplify it, if not technically a very nuanced view of the situation.] And if you wanted to you could probably tell them what to do.
[Jae thinks on this for a moment, mouth pursing slightly as he works this out in his mind.]
I don't think you would. Not without good reason anyway. I think you'd find it too much of a bother having to deal with them. Especially since it sounds like most of them are stupid.
no subject
[At least he admits that his dream self was probably going to be even grumpier then he was in reality. Poor Jae having to deal with that.
He looks down at the former siren and sighs. He wasn't the most comfortable person to lean against considering that his body tempature was usually lukewarm at best, but he doesn't shrug Jae off. Instead, he starts to stroke the top of his head, almost like petting a small child.]
Family is a close facsimile to what a brood is. You have the Maker or parent and then siblings and sometimes a stray is taken in like a weird uncle or cousin. And yes I can. It can be useful at times.
[He chuckled at that; Jae got that tidbit right. He did find them stupid for the most part.] Usually it's useful to scare them or get them under control when I come across ferals or strays. Sometimes I can force a concession out of a brood to leave me alone, but yes, I don't mess with them often.
no subject
[Jae doesn't mind. Even dream Tarr is still Tarr and is better than nothing.]
[Whether it's some throw back to his non-human roots or not, Jaehyun is actually somewhat of a living furnace in that he runs really warm. Warm enough that his friend's lack of temperature probably doesn't matter all that much. The petting soft touch is met with a quiet hum of satisfaction as Jae snuggles his cheek a little closer.]
So, if you're an elder does this mean you don't have any kids? Is that something you can't do? Make more vampires?
[The questions will never end. The more they talk, the more he's going to come up with new things to ponder and ask about.]
Does it only work with vampires? Can you tell other things what to do too?
no subject
[He huffs but despite the huff, he was still carding his hand through Jae's hair.
The warmth was nice, though Tarr wasn't going to snuggle him that much. After all he didn't need to. Jae was just going to snuggle him no matter what he really felt about it.]
I don't have any kids. I've never felt the need to make any though I could if I want to. Mainly vampires. I can contain ghosts and the like but I usually don't need to.
no subject
[The touch is nice and Jae sighs, closing his eyes in relaxation. If he was a cat he'd be purring right now, which is a funny image considering he used to be a glorified fish in a sense.]
[If Jae really thought Tarr was against it, he probably wouldn't. But he's also convinced that Tarr isn't actually as against it as he might claim to be on occasion. Which is why the snuggling and harassment continues.]
Kids look like a lot of work. [Jae states matter of factly.] At least they are on tv, but apparently you can't trust what they show there so I don't know how true that is.
[He's going to doubt everything he's learned about human life now, because most of it was learned via television. Thanks Tarr.]
Maybe it's because you're so scary! They take one look at you and then they don't misbehave. You have this look it's just... [Jae shudders to explain, since he's not entirely sure what word to use.] Like that!
[Only, that look apparently is something he's become immune to at some point. If it had ever worked on Jae at all.]
no subject
They can be, even vampire kids are work.
[He may not have made any vampires, but he has taken in a couple strays and teached them how to survive and grow. He was still in contact with them, though he didn't need to. As for when he was human, well, he had been married but there was no children from that union. He didn't know about other possible children.]
If I look so scary, it seems it doesn't work on sirens very much.
no subject
Surprised you didn't work in a comment about me being a lot of work, you had the perfect chance.
That's because I know better. [Jae grins, eyes scrunching up again happily.] That and I'm special, I'm not just any siren you know. I bet any other siren would totally cower if you gave them that look.
[Technically he's not even a siren at all anymore as far as he knows, but that means he's a seriously abnormal human then. Considering how humans tend to react to vampires. Basically Jae is just weird no matter what species you use as a reference point.]
[Nudging Tarr with his cheek, his smile takes on more of a playful edge bordering on a smirk. If there's one thing in his life he's secure about, it's this fact right here.]
You like me too much to do anything like that. So anytime your face tries to say otherwise it's clearly a lie. Because you'd never!
no subject
[There. Get his usual deadpan expression that follows a joke on his end, because really, what does Jae expect from him? But he just shifts a little to straighten out his shoulders are pressed into the wall.]
Fine. You get the special treatment that I can give you. Though don't expect me to do anything really stupid like couple shirts.
[For that comment he is just going to tap the former siren on the nose with a finger. He could have flicked him in the forehead or something but that was something that could leave a mark and he didn't feel that irritated.]
Think that as much as you want.
no subject
[He's gotten quite used to Tarr's particular brand of deadpan snark. It had been a little confusing at times, but honestly it's the closest to siren behavior he's encountered since moving topside. So in a way it's familiar in that sense. Sirens as a whole aren't exactly the warmest and coziest species ever.]
But what's wrong with couple shirts? They're cute! [Now thy he knows they're off limits, naturally he wants it.] So what's my special treatment then? Aside from getting to stay like this hen you wouldn't let basically anyone else?
[Though if that's the extent of it, he'll still be satisfied. He really does love being like this.]
[He almst makes a face as Tarr taps his nose, but instead Jae hust watches Tarr intently, eyes serious.]
I will and that's not going to change. Not unless you give me a reason to believe otherwise.
no subject
[Tarr just isn't one to display his emotions as some people are. He could when he was comfortable with people, but there is always going to be a bit of a awkward shyness to him.
At that question, Tarr huffed and poked at Jae's side, eyes narrowing.] Because you will pick out ugly or itchy ones. [He really didn't like a lot of stuff people pick out for him.] Breakfast?
[Because how many people does he actually cook for? Well, outside of younger vampires he had gone hunting for, really. He doesn't cook for just anyone.]
I could bite you to make you change your mind.
no subject
[Jae could be plenty awkward, but shy was not a word that really worked for him. It probably never would, it's just not who he is.]
Hey! [Jae squirms away from the poke, huffing a little laugh. Maybe Tarr is not the only ticklish person in the room after all.] What if I let you pick them out. Would that work? Then you could make sure they weren't ugly or itchy.
[His eyes light up, sulking and seriousness forgotten in light of the offer.]
Breakfast? [He squirms a little before butting his nose against Tarr hopefully, the happiest lil former fish boy in the world.] Really?
[Ah, this means he's the most special.]
.... [At that comment Jae actually laughs a little again, pressing his face into Tarr's chest fully to hide his expression.] I thought you said it only hurt a little and then felt really good? Because I'm not sure if that counts then.
[Especially not when Jae still kind of wants Tarr to tell him how he tastes anyway.]
no subject
[He snorted, poking him again. He wasn't going to torture Jae with tickling though he was going to make a note that Jae was ticklish for future purposes.] You will insist on something other then what I pick out, so no couple shirts. Besides we aren't a couple in that sense anyways.
Breakfast. It's easy enough to make if I feel like it.
[He shook his head, a tiny little smile on his lips that he was sure that Jae couldn't see.] It does but I've known people who complain about it in any case.
no subject
That's what I thought.
[He's also trying not to make a big deal about it, because Tarr and big deals don't really go together.]
[Jae squirms again, wrinkling his nose as the knowledge. He hadn't known he was ticklish either, so it's news to him too. He'll worry about just what Tarr might do with this knowledge later, it's not an immediate concern.]
Hey! You don't know that. Maybe I'll think that it's nice! You can't decide the outcome on your own like that. [There's a head tilt then, showing that once again Jae's failed to grasp something about how humans do things.] A couple like what sense?
Breakfast isn't easy, breakfast is hard! [Jae burns things when he cooks on a regular basis.] I didn't know you could cook!
[Why hasn't Tarr saved him from himself when it comes to food before? How mean.]
Maybe they just don't want you to know that they like it? Because it'd be weird, right?
[Things Jae gets - admitting you like sexy things done between friends is awkward. Things Jae doesn't get - That some behaviors, outside of sexual ones, are limited to people in romantic relationships. Also that you can have sex outside of relationship. Okay so there's a lot Jae doesn't get, but that's a start.]
no subject
[That explains a lot. Here he had thought that Jae just didn't feel like cooking.] It's easy to follow the directions and watch how things heat up, really. That and have a good sense of smell.
Hardly. They are just weird that way.
